Looking for a hard working #2 for our head grower. We will need you to be available in November to start ramping up inventory and help the start up process for a large recreational grow. This will be a perpetual harvest grown in a fully automated state-of-the-art greenhouses. Looking for someone who is passionate about the product, respects the process, and loves to work with the plants. Need someone that will work well with the head grower and can manage others. You should be able to civilly discuss alternative ideas with management to come to an agreement of how best to proceed with the various growing processes.

Required:
At least 5 years experience growing
Experience with propagation, mothers, flowering, fertigation, harvesting, drying, curing, trimming and IPMs
Must have the Oregon marijuana worker permit before start date (it takes about a month to get it)
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Comfortable trimming all day if needed
Comfortable being on a tractor all day if needed
Ability to weigh accurately and use a microscope
Able to be compliant to farm rules, OLLC rules, and be able to use a computer for the METRC cannabis tracking computer system

We are preferably looking for someone who has experience with greenhouse growing, large scale, perpetual grows, and familiar with the METRC system. Being handy is a plus.

    The ideal candidate is a passionate, flexible, and low-drama individual with commercial cultivation experience in a high-volume setting. This is not your first rodeo. You work well with others and enjoy the fruits of a positive work environment. You follow through on every request, no matter how big or how small. These are labor-heavy positions; team members are constantly moving around the site and are expected to stay busy throughout the day – there is very little downtime.
    Responsibilities Include:
    The Lead Grower is responsible for managing cultivation and growing operations by helping create and implement SOPs. Daily updates to management are required to consistently re-address grow tactics.
    Managing a team that handles all aspects of cultivation in a large-scale greenhouse and hoop house grow facility. Must be experienced in transplanting, irrigating, pest management, harvesting, drying, trimming, waste disposal and inventory management. Outline specific roles and responsibilities for plant technicians and work with management to build a team. Assist management in maintaining plant growing protocols, follow nutrient regiments, and drive to improve growing techniques and yields.
    Work with the Operations Manager to perform all cultivation tracking and record keeping functions within the seed to sale electronic system in compliance with the Company’s and the States rules and regulations.
    Manage plant scheduling to accurately project all growing requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to maximize high-quality yield with efficiency and attention to production costs.
    Execute pest management program including elimination of all types of mold, powdery mildew, mites, root aphids, fungus gnats, etc. Maintain irrigation and alert management if there are issues.
    Implement routine daily activities required to ensure plant maintenance and general operation of the cultivation areas.
    Desired Experience and Skills
    Looking for a professional with a background in horticulture, agriculture or commercial grow facility production and at least 4 years’ experience working in larger scale marijuana production operation. Minimum of 2 years of lead grower experience working in a commercial marijuana facility operation.
    Mastery of soil or peat cultivation methods and irrigation methods (hand-water, sub-irrigation, drip systems).
    Knowledge of large scale commercial plan plant growing including crop rotation management, nutrient requirements, and environmental controls.
    Knowledge of plant diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies and toxicity
    Advanced knowledge of the cannabis plant and genetics.
    Must be adept at industry best-practices and current on new techniques and insight with respect to nutrient of individual strains, high yield recipes, controlled stress environments to different lighting systems and set ups.
    Skills and Requirements
    At least 21 years of age.
    No violent felony convictions
    Willing to participate in an extensive background check.
    Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
    Trustworthy and honest.

    5 years of plant science/horticultural studies

    Understanding of: pest control, plant breeding, vertical hydroponics systems
    Familiarity with the growing protocols for medicinal crops
