This year, vendors at the Lift Cannabis Expo are setting up their booths a day early to network with fellow exhibitors and professionals. Cannabis industry thought leaders from across the globe will enjoy this intimate and private environment prior to the expo opening to the general public on May 27.
“There’s never really been anything like it,” says Lift CEO Matei Olaru. “Whether you own, run or work for a cannabis business, the Lift Industry Day and the Lift Cannabis Business Conference create unique opportunities to meet, network and learn before opening the expo to the general public.”
Lift Industry Day
Happening this May 26 at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre, Lift Industry Day is only open to cannabis professionals. Participants will have unfettered and intimate access to the Lift Expo’s nearly 200 exhibitors. Along with exclusive networking sessions, Lift Industry Day also offers main stage presentations tailored specifically to industry stakeholders. (Stay tuned to Lift News for more on our soon-to-be-announced and not-to-be-missed special keynote speaker.)
Investors and entrepreneurs will be able to watch the Lift Pitch – a startup competition pitting promising new cannabis businesses against each other in front of a panel of all-star judges, including Tweed founder Chuck Rifici, lawyer Hugo Alves, a legal pioneer in Canada’s medical cannabis space and Aaron Salz, the first financial analyst in Canada to cover the industry. The prize? Over $20,000 in business services and personal investments from the judges. This is an excellent chance for attendees to vet potential investments, nominate a startup, or simply be entertained by the industry’s brightest up-and-comers.
