Weedfinder App Embraces Many Aspects of Cannabis Commerce Cannabis

Searching for cannabis clubs in Barcelona or hash bars in the Netherlands? While its major competitors stick to the standard three informational items — dispensaries, delivery services and doctors — Weedfinder branches out as a global resource for an array of cannabis-related businesses. Hosting a space for seedbanks, headshops and growshops as well as providing resources for locating lab testing, the Weedfinder app is built out to accommodate the growing number of marijuana businesses and services across the globe.

“Weedfinder will perpetually grow in regards to the industry,” CEO Josh Edinger says adding that the website has plans to expand into even more areas such as marijuana universities and wholesale offerings.

With nine categories of business listings, the site has over 17,000 entries and strives to keep a proper pulse of each select region. The app, available for both Android and iOS, allows users to search the map feature to find services that are near their location.

“We are the only website where you can automatically search for menu items,” Edinger explains, noting similar sites simply redirect people to a dispensary website for menu items such as select strains or edible products.

Endiger says this element of Weedfinder proved to be an invaluable resource for a family whose child suffered from Dravet syndrome. Instead of them having to individually call dispensaries searching for a CBD medication, the family was able to geolocate their position and query the menus to see which dispensary had the medication they needed.

“It’s a huge game changer for these families,” Edinger says while noting he frequently uses the app to find medication to treat his dog. “It’s also been a game changer for us personally.”
